Is your plumbing website actually winning you work?
Paste your web address below. We'll score it out of 100 on the things that decide whether a homeowner rings you or the next plumber down the list - and tell you exactly what to fix.
What we actually check
Not a generic website grader. These are the six things that separate a plumbing site that books jobs from one that just sits there looking tidy.
Tap-to-call near the top
A customer with water coming through the ceiling should be able to dial you with one thumb. We check the number is there and tappable, not buried on a contact page.
Gas Safe on the page
Registration visible on the homepage, with the number. Homeowners look for it, and it's the fastest trust signal you own.
Mobile speed, measured by Google
We run your site through Google's own PageSpeed test on a mobile connection. Slow is the most expensive thing a plumbing site can be.
Out-of-hours messaging
Does your site tell a 10pm visitor whether you take emergencies? Most don't, and the searcher picks whoever makes it obvious.
How long your form is
Every extra field loses people, especially one-handed on a phone. Name, number, what's wrong is usually plenty.
The technical basics
HTTPS, a mobile viewport, a title and description that read like what people actually search for.
Why a score, and not just a redesign?
Because most plumbers don't need telling their site looks dated. They need telling which specific thing is losing the enquiry - and quite often it's one or two fixes, not a rebuild.
I'd rather you ran this, found out your number isn't tappable and your form has nine fields, and fixed both yourself tonight, than paid anyone a penny. If the list comes back long enough that a rebuild is the sensible answer, that's what we do - but the score tells you first.
The one thing no checker can score is what happens to the enquiry after it lands. That's the bit most plumbing sites lose jobs on, and it's why our builds include an optional AI triage system that reads every after-hours enquiry and texts you the emergencies.
Frequently asked questions
Is the plumber website checker really free?
Yes, and there's no email gate. Paste your address, get the score and the full list of fixes on the page. We'd rather you saw the problems than filled in a form to find out about them.
What makes this different from a normal website grader?
Generic graders give you technical scores that apply to any business. This one checks what wins plumbing work specifically - Gas Safe registration, emergency messaging, a tappable number for someone standing in a flooded kitchen.
Will you email me or ring me afterwards?
Not unless you ask. Nothing is sent anywhere just from running a check - the result is shown on the page and that's the end of it.
My score was low. How much does fixing it cost?
Depends what's wrong. Some of it you can fix yourself in an afternoon - adding your Gas Safe number, shortening the form. A full rebuild starts at £595 one-off, or £49 a month managed.
Does it check every page of my site?
No, just the homepage - that's where most visitors land from Google and where the decision to ring you gets made. If the homepage doesn't do its job, the rest rarely gets seen.
